Mould cooling channels
In an injection mould cycle time is governed by cooling. Channels drilled in the right position, at the right diameter and without drift directly affect mould performance. Channels drilled on a deep hole machine are far straighter and cleaner than those made with a standard drill.
What does 7-axis give you?
Drilling from different angles without unclamping the part. On a large mould block, channels from four sides and at angles are completed in one setup, eliminating the reference error of every setup change.
Where it is used
Injection and press moulds, hydraulic blocks, oil channels in machine housings, energy-equipment parts. Send the channel plan on your drawing and we confirm suitability for diameter and depth.
Frequently asked questions
Which diameters and depths can you drill?
From mould cooling-channel diameters to long deep bores; ask with your drawing for the exact range and we answer the same day.
Drilling only, or complete mould machining?
Complete: roughing, 5-axis, deep hole drilling and finishing in the same facility.
Do I have to send the part separately for deep drilling?
No. If the mould block is machined here, deep hole drilling is part of the same process.
